Wireing on TDCi

Will some one point in the right direction
I would like to find a live feed which is controled by the ignition around the centre console,this to connect the sat nav, phone etc.
Please make it easy for some one who is a novice on cvasre wireing

Im sure they'll be one round about the radio area but not sure?
It,ll not be long before some mk3 guys will have an answer for you :cool:

there must be one goes to the radio
as thay need a perminant pos and one from the ignition..........
just find the 2 positives then turn the ignition off and see what one is no longer positive......

Does the ash tray have a light or glove box etc, they are feeds

As said the stereo aswell

cig lighter is constant live only light up with side lights i think glove box and foot well lights are all are different radio would be your best bet

Thanks to all that replied.
I would be gratefully in someone could give me a step by step guide of how to get to these wires.
I am not incompetent,I just like to know where I am going to land before I jump.

cant help on that front as mine is touch screen it controls sat nav radio air con and climate and i wont even touch it get your self a wee circuit tester and work through the wires and find the one that works with the ignition and link into it with a scotchlock once you get that done put a inlinefuse in to protect your item just take it easy and youl get it done

I have all the necessary tools and equipment to do the job,I just want someone to advise me on how to get to the wires.

best way would be to get the radio out then see what wires are what some radios have wiring diagrames on them mind and see if you have the code for the radio or a haynes manual might be useful
